We got to visit with the Angels today at CC Central Maui. We visited the darling plantation house at went to lunch at Zippys for authentic Hawaiian food.
We are so blessed to be able to come to Hawaii again to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We are humbled to be here when things are so fragile economically for so many. The Lord provided for our trip though, and we can only thank Him (and others) for it.
Tiffany and Sophia's new house is just across the street from their school. The big girls now ride their bikes to school! Too much fun!
Amazing how fast a year goes! Samuel is one! Sitting up and crawling all over the place. The years just fly by!
Enlarging the Intellect
Nothing will so enlarge the intellect, nothing so magnify the whole soul of man as a devout, earnest, continued investigation of the great subject of the Deity. And while humbling and expanding, this subject is eminently consolatory. Oh, there is, in contemplating Christ, a balm for every wound! In musing on the Father, there is a quietus for every grief and in the influence of the Holy Spirit there is a balsam for every sore. Would you lose your sorrows? Would you drown your cares? Then go plunge yourself in the Godhead's deepest sea--be lost in His immensity. And you shall come forth as from a couch of rest, refreshed and invigorated.
--C.H. Spurgeon, from a sermon delivered January 7, 1855 at New Park Street Chapel, Southwark, England
What an idylic day for a garden tea party. The weather was warm and tranquil and the setting was something from a Jane Austin novel. Tea sandwiches, worship music and an exhortation from the word- a day set apart for fellowship, who could ask for more?
Another fun week of painting! What a blessing to be able to help Jeff and Meg get their new home painted. Then we are done for a while, that is unless we buy a house that needs to be painted! These pics are some before and some after - finished product tomorrow!
